To many diehard fans' surprise, "Forever Goddess" Joey Wong will finally return to showbiz in May.

According to an article in May Daily, the 46-year-old actress, who left the entertainment industry 11 years ago, has received an invitation from a Hong Kong jewelry company and a cosmetics brand to attend their events, with each offering an appearance fee of HK$1 million (S$160,656).

If market reaction is favourable, she might take a step further and start shooting films again.

Since she left the silver screen, she has lived in Canada and largely disappeared from the limelight.

Joey's 16-year-long relationship with singer Chyi Chin from 1985 to 2002 remains one of the most talked about romances in showbiz.
