Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu and his wife, model and TV personality Lisa Selesner (popularly known as Lisa S) are expecting a baby.
Wu made the happy announcement via Weibo, and even revealed that the baby is due next June.
Expressing himself in Chinese, he wrote: "Dear friends, fans and members of the media, I would like to announce that my beautiful wife Lisa is pregnant and the baby's estimated due date will be in June next year.
"Thank you everyone for your concern and well-wishes, we look forward to a new chapter in our lives."
Lisa S shared the news on her Weibo as well.
Almost immediately after the announcement, friends of the couple, like Hong Kong actor-director Stephen Fung and actress Shu Qi congratulated them on their microblog acounts as well.
38-year-old Wu and Selesner, 37, had made it no secret that they wished to have a baby, ever since the couple got married in 2010.
According to Chinese media reports, just recently in July, Wu expressed his fervent wish to be a dad.
"I think all men of a certain age need a family to feel complete. I have even sought the help of Traditional Chinese Medicine doctors, and I've always taken care of my health," said Wu.
He also revealed that the couple had considered going through the in-vitro fertilisation procedure, but decided to leave it as a last resort if all else fails.
But it looks like the happy parents-to-be will not be needing it.
