American-born star Daniel Wu, who is both leading man and producer for his latest movie Control, plans to take at least six months off work after he is done promoting the noirish thriller.
The reason? The 39-year-old wants to spend time with his daughter Raven, his first child with model-host wife Lisa Selesner, 38, reports The Straits Times Communities.
Raven was born on May 30. He professes to be a "very hands-on" dad, doing everything from changing diapers to night feeds.
He adds: "Before I got married and had her, my work always came first. But my priorities have definitely changed."
Which is why he will be taking a year off to be with his daughter.
"I was so busy with films that I never had the chance to stay home with her as much as I wanted," he says of his decision.
"She's growing up so fast and I don't want to miss any of that. These are times you won't be able to get back."
So, does that mean his daughter is in control of his life?
The hunk replies with a laugh: "Oh, definitely. There's nothing I can control about her. Everything that she wants to do - when she wants to eat, when she wants to sleep - you have to be in the moment with her. She definitely controls me."
