Hong Kong - Singer Denise Ho, who confirmed she is gay last week, evaded a question about pop star Joey Yung's sexual orientation.

Yung, who was long romantically linked to Ho, is said to be dating singer Wilfred Lau.

Ho, 35, on Tuesday refused to answer that. On radio, in her first interview since coming out, the singer said: "Hard to answer. I can't answer that. How to?"

She added: "A day will come when questions on sexual inclinations are not treated like exotic animals."

On Tuesday, Yung, 32, herself eluded the media waiting at the airport by returning to Hong Kong by road from Shenzhen after flying there from Tokyo.

When Ho outed herself on Saturday, Yung and Lau were said to have gone on holiday in South Korea and Japan.

On Tuesday, Ho would not talk about past rumours that Lau had courted her, but she said she already knew she was gay before she stepped into show business.

She also refused to confirm reports about her relationship with Taiwanese model Deng Jiuyun, and Taiwan singers Jozie Lu and Waa Wei. "I'm living with three cats," she said.
