Being Taiwan's top supermodel and the fantasy of many men doesn't necessarily mean a long line of suitors.

Model-actress Lin Chi Ling said recently that it's difficult for her to meet new men as they do not dare to approach her.

The star of movies Red Cliff and The Treasure Hunter, who turns 38 next month, said she hopes to be married and start a family by the time she's 40.

Lin has been linked to Taiwanese actor Jerry Yan and businessman Qiu Shi-kai.

She said: "I too wish to have a lover whom I can hug and kiss on the streets."
