US actress Blake Lively, 25, made her first public appearance since her Sept 9 secret wedding to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds at Tuesday's Chanel Bijoux De Diamant 80th Anniversary bash in New York City .

Looking radiant in a sexy, backless silver and pale pink gown by Chanel Couture, she eventually flashed her diamond engagement ring and her $2million (S$2.4m) wedding band.

"Life is great!" she told Us Weekly. "I was so excited to be driving over here in the car in this beautiful outfit. It's like a Disney princess dress!"

Reynolds, 35, went low-key and skipped the red carpet to met Lively inside the event.
