Many have expressed concern over US actress Jennie Garth's dramatic weight loss following the March announcement of her divorce with Twilight actor Peter Facinelli, her husband of 11 years.

She has been photographed with a much thinner frame in recent weeks.

But the 40-year-old insists she's perfectly healthy.

The mother of three told Entertainment Tonight Canada: "I've been certainly going through a transitional time in my life.

"...I think anybody who has been through something like what I'm going through, and have been going through for the past couple of years, can definitely relate that your body changes with your emotional state of mind sometimes."
