US actress Gillian Anderson, 44, best known for her role in the sci-fi TV series The X-Files, has “amicably separated” with longtime partner Mark Griffiths after six years together, according to Us Weekly magazine.
The couple, who never wed, share sons Oscar, five, and Felix, three.
Anderson has been married twice before.
She split from husband Clyde Klotz – with whom she has a daughter – in 1997, and with second husband Julian Ozanne in 2006.
