Estranged Twilight couple Robert Pattinson, 26, and Kristen Stewart, 22, have sought advice and comfort from their closest pals since the latter's cheating scandal broke.

The British actor has turned to his Water For Elephants co-star, 36-year-old American actress Reese Witherspoon (above, left).

She was apparently the first person he called after news broke of US actress Stewart's affair with married British director Rupert Sanders.

Pattinson immediately asked if he could hole up at Witherspoon's ranch in Ojai, California, reported OK! magazine.

Meanwhile, Stewart has found a shoulder to cry on in 49-year-old US actress Jodie Foster (above, right), who played her mum in movie Panic Room more than 10 years ago.

A source told Radar Online: "Jodie loves Rob (Pattinson) and is disappointed that Kristen cheated on him."
