Abigail Chay: Less man, more woman
by Bridget Tan

Local transexual celebrity Abigail Chay recently underwent an image overhaul following criticism from her friend, Jeffrey Chung.

The makeover process taught the 53-year-old skills such as deportment, the catwalk, and dining etiquette.

The makeover was sparked by Jeffrey’s remarks about the way she carried herself, deeming it “too man”.

Speaking to RazorTV at her graduation ceremony, the optimistic individual shared that she did not take Jeffrey’s advice to heart.

Instead, she said, “You know how sometimes when your friends give you suggestions, you tend to argue your way.

But instead of arguing, why not take it very constructively and since he’s in this line, I just took it positively and I signed up.

The part-time speech and drama teacher took each lesson in her stride. “After going through everything in life in so many ways, I think nothing is going to be too difficult. I think they have been very lenient to me.”

People around Abigail have also noticed the change in the comedienne’s demeanour, especially when she talks and laughs.

After the whole experience, she said, “I feel that I’m more feminine, or should I say I’m more conscious of being feminine.”
