Actor in love triangle apologises

Taiwanese actor Yao Wen Hao, the only party who has kept mum throughout the media coverage of his love triangle with two Taiwanese stars, finally gives his side of the story.

Yao, who made headlines with his romantic entanglement with model-turned-actress Sonia Sui and pop princess Cyndi Wang, has been called a "coward" for not stepping forward and leaving it to the girls to handle the press.

The Taiwanese hunk posted a note on his Facebook recently, addressing the issue for the first time.

The 30-year-old started by explaining that he could not talk about this in person as he is currently filming in China.

Next, he apologised to both Sui and Wang, who both shed tears when they were asked about the matter lately.

"Everyone cares about my love life. Actually, I'm like everyone. There's happiness and sorrow as well as arguments, but I never meant to hurt anyone," wrote Yao.

He went on to thank Sui, his girlfriend of eight years before they broke up recently, calling her "the most important person in my life."

"I appreciate it a lot when Sonia called me the man she loves the most. I would like to thank her for accompanying my family," he said.

He further blamed the whole mess on his immaturity and ignorance.

"When I was single last year, I neglected the feelings of the people around me in the process of making friends and ended up hurting them due to my own immaturity. I would not use the fact that I was single as an excuse, but I will learn to handle things in a more mature manner. In relationships, the guy should always be the one who shoulders the responsibility. I hereby deeply apologise to these two friends who have been hurt recently," he said.
