Chocolate decadence at The Body Shop

THE Aztecs were the first on record to draw a link between the cocoa bean and sexual desire: The emperor Montezuma was said to consume the bean in copious amounts to fuel his romantic trysts.

Since then, science has proven that eating chocolate has psychological, aphrodisiac-like qualities.

It's no wonder that Valentine's Day is celebrated with loads of this candy for lovers.

But this Valentine's Day, don't just eat it - slather it on your skin (or on the skin of your loved one).

The Body Shop makes this easy with its newly launched Chocomania range.

Launched yesterday, the decadent, sensuous and indulgent range oozes with luxurious texture and fragrance, with the Chocomania Body Butter ($32.90) taking centre stage.

The formula contains 12 Community Fair Trade ingredients from around the world, from cocoa beans from Ghana to sugar cane from Paraguay.

The body butter melts into the skin, combating dryness with 48 hours of intensive moisturisation and releasing a heavenly chocolate fragrance that will make you smell good enough to eat.

Want to be more kissable? Check out the Chocomania Lip Butter ($10.90). Delivering soft and silky lips with an intensive, chocolately, creamy balm, it's almost good enough to eat.

Bath products are on offer, too - the Chocomania Body Scrub ($32.90) exfoliates for a smooth, honeyed finish.

Follow up with Chocomania Shower Cream ($14.90), a creamy body wash that leaves skin supple, cleansed, moisturised and sweet-smelling.

Look out for various gift sets in stores, too. For store locations, visit www.thebodyshop.com.sg
