Two people get married after meeting on microblog

Sin Chew Daily reported that two people decided to get married after meeting on Weibo (a Chinese microblogging site similar to Twitter) over five days.

According to Chengdu Business Times, the man popped the question when he found out that he met the criteria of the ideal partner that the woman, from Shanghai, was looking for.

The woman, who is a university graduate, flew to Chengdu to meet the man who works in a photography company last Saturday.

They said they were nervous before meeting each other for the first time.

However, after the man presented the woman with a bouquet of flowers, they were hugging and kissing in public.

The couple registered their marriage on Monday and posted photos and video clips on Weibo. -The Star/Asia News Network
