For Autumn Winter 2011, River Island reasserts a bold and unique mood - reclaiming its confidence as a true innovator of the high street.

The evolution of the River Island girl is captured in dynamic dressing with a shapely, sophisticated and grown up edge.

The easy, refined and retro glamour are discovered in functional separates through to unique, evening dressing making this a standout collection.

Savage

A contemporary take on bohemian defines 'Savage'. Ikat, navahoe and art deco, inspired blanket knits are infused with shots of grey, black and red creating a casual dressed up look. Elsewhere, colour-blocking in juicy rainbow brights, graphic printed knits, dresses and fur collared coats create a celebratory and uplifting world traveler mood. 'White Savage' sits cosy and refined alongside the range. Winter whites, grey chunky knits, parkas are mixed and layered with casual white and grey denim.

Sandy

The autumnal atmosphere in 'Sandy' cements the Seventies-day-dressing with a stylish edge. The mustard ruffle blouse, red chiffon pussy bow dress, butterscotch below-the-knee skirt and azure-coloured polo neck underscores a youthfully sophisticated air. The slick separates are complimented with denim and faux fur in a variety of rich berry and burgundy tones for a romantic and sexy feel.

London Girl

Boy-dressing with an emphasis on tailored sophistication, 'London Girl' sees satin shirts buttoned up to the neck, and paired with tailored black and red colour block trousers. Elsewhere, the crisp longline blazer jacket and tuxedo has an assertive and powerful presence that's ready to hit the street. Fur is key to layer up this look that commands confidence whilst being upbeat and preppy.

Gigi

Fabrications with horticultural florals and pillarbox dresses encapsulate the bold and edgy 'Gigi' spirit which pays homage to London in the Sixties. Stylistically, fur and muffin top hats accentuate this feeling of nostalgia and are paired with chunky ankle boots in chestnut and noir.

Hustler

'Hustler' has a glamorous 70s lady bias with intense oranges, lemon yellows and apple reds. Stand out pieces include the emerald green all-in-one jump suit, and metallic gold elongated skirt.
