IT WAS a spectacle, with bursts of colour and shapes at Sunday's Audi Fashion Festival.
The show, which was held at the Tent@Orchard, featured elaborate hairstyles from Redken and make-up by Shu Uemura.
When my paper visited for a behind-the-scenes peek at about 4pm, it wasn't just the models that shone - the brand's make-up artists did, too. Most wore extravagant feathered false lashes.
Shu Uemura's elite make-up artist, Ms Nor Mazlin, 29, said the show - Shapes & Shadows - featured Redken and Shu Uemura's fascination with artistry.
Lashes took pride of place, when the brand presented a preview of its upcoming 2011 Tokyo Lash Bar collection in one segment.
Known for dramatic and adventurous couture falsies, the Lash Bar's designs for this year are inspired by tribal designs.
"There are no limitations, it's about wearing them with confidence," said Ms Mazlin.
