Christy Chung denies rocky marriage

TALK has been rife that Chinese-Canadian actress Christy Chung's marriage is on the rocks.

Rumours arose after she made two cryptic posts on Weibo, a microblogging site in China, which many read as alluding to her marital woes.

She posted on May 15: "Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who do not."

In another post the day before, she wrote, "That's the worst part. Liking someone so much and knowing he'll never feel the same way."

Her husband Jon Yen's activity on Weibo has set tongues wagging as well. The Taiwanese music producer recently posted a picture showing an unidentified girl hugging him in front of Taipei 101.

Chung, who was in Singapore recently for the Audi Fashion Festival 2011, however refuted the rumours.

In an interview with RazorTV, she said that she made those statements on Weibo from a philosophical viewpoint, after being inspired by one of her friends.

"If you're not happy single, you won't be happy taken," she explained. "Happiness comes from yourself, not from other people."

"I wanted to be able to share about life, philosophy and love," Christy told the online video website.

Chung and Yen have been married for more than seven years, and have two daughters together. This is her second marriage.
