SHE might have just hit the big four-oh on Sept 19, but Canadian-Chinese actress Christy Chung is still very much the sexy siren.
The ravishing starlet, who looks stunning despite giving birth to her third child seven months ago, says her beauty secret lies simply in being playful and carefree.
Luckily for her, there are plenty of opportunities for her to do just that in her life. For one thing, Chung's kids - Yasmine, 12, Jaden, two, and Cayla - give her a reason to just let loose and be goofy.
"It's like giving myself a second childhood, and when you play with kids, you dress simple and you laugh a lot. When you laugh every day, it's a way to stay healthy and young," said Chung with a chuckle.
She was in town recently to launch a new Marie France Bodyline slimming treatment.
But she has practical tips, too, based on her beauty regime.
"I've been very strict with my beauty regime since I was 17. I use serum, I clean and tone, use SPF and drink water," she said. "I also take a lot of supplements... and things with antioxidants, such as all the berries - blueberries, strawberries and raspberries - green tea and salmon, which are good for you," she added. "I also stay away from caffeine."
And plastic surgery is a no-no for the bubbly actress, who is based in Beijing with her Beijing music-producer husband Jon Yen, 42.
She said: "Personally I don't think it is necessary to do it. But if you are a person who wants to have more confidence or be happier... then I think, why not?"
But there is one thing she adores and can't do without - collagen products. Chung says she eats collagen proteins, and drinks it in the form of soup. And the serums she uses contain collagen boosters.
The curvy beauty first broke out in the acting scene back in 1993, with her role as the tomboyish Moon in The Bride With White Hair 2. Since then, she has taken on roles in a number of well-known films, such as The Bodyguard From Beijing (1994) with Jet Li, and Jacky Chan's movie, The Medallion (2003).
She then went on a six-year hiatus, but will appear in a Bruce Lee biopic, titled Bruce Lee My Brother, playing the gongfu legend's mother. It is slated to be released at the end of the year.
my paper asks the sexy mama to share some of her beauty secrets:

metaphorically, if you tired , you drink cofee, it could barely boost you much, maybe 1 or 2 percent, but you sleep well, next day full of energy, the coffee will give you that boost of 5-10% ...
