The Internet was abuzz with news of Australian model Miranda Kerr, who gave birth to a baby boy last weekend.

This is her first baby with husband and Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom. Her family was said to have flew in from Australia to be with her as she gave birth in a Los Angeles hospital in the evening.

The 27-year-old Victoria's Secret model met Bloom at a Victoria's Secret fashion show last year and married in July, after a one-month engagement.

The rising model is said to be embracing married life and being a mother. She has also showed off her pregnant belly while doing runway shows, and a nude photo spread for W magazine, as well as fronted the covers of Vogue magazine in Australia.

"It's been a great experience modeling while pregnant because I'm really proud of my belly and I'm really happy about this moment in my life," she said recently in an interview.

But for now, family comes first.

She said: "For me, family is life. The decision to start one wasn't complex at all. My career has been wonderful, but it's not my life. I don't feel pressure to get back to work."
