TAIPEI, Taiwan - The Alishan National Scenic Area Administration yesterday called for would-be couples to join a group wedding to be held at the famous mountain resort in central Taiwan next month where they can enjoy a beautiful wedding with the famous sea of clouds and old trees serving as their witnesses.

"You can win the chance to be part of the group wedding for free and all you have to do is to write down 50 to 100 words on why you want to hold your wedding in Alishan," said Tseng Han-chou, head of the Alishan National scenic Administration yesterday at the press conference held in Taipei.

Tseng noted that his administration will choose a total of 20 couples among all applicants. The chosen couples can hold their weddings in November free of charge at the world-renowned tourism attraction located in Chiayi County.

The wedding comes in a two-day-one-night package and will be held on Nov. 4 and 5. The package includes a one-night stay in the popular tourism spot well-known for its cherry blossoms, as well as its sunsets and even more beautiful sunrises that slowly rise above a sea of clouds.

The package also comes with a tour around different attractions in the national scenic area. The chosen couples will be taking the narrow-gauge trains, a trademark of Alishan, and enjoy a view of the sea of clouds, before taking their wedding photographs in front of the ancient trees on the second day.
