HONG Kong artist Karen Mok has a very zen approach to her love life.
The single 40-year-old told my paper yesterday that she doesn't have any prerequisites when it comes to someone she would date. She said any man will do, "as long as he loves me".
She added: "I'll wait for the right man to come along and sweep me off my feet".
The actress-singer was in town to promote her latest album, Precious, which consists of 10 self-composed songs, some of which address the theme of loneliness.
Mok broke up with Hong Kong director Stephen Fung, her beau of nine years, in 2007. She denied rumours linking her and music collaborator Zhang Yadong, saying that "we only have chemistry musically".
Despite that, her new song Perfect Aloneness reveals that she may not be immune to loneliness. Mok told my paper that her focus now is work.
"I can control work but not love," she said with a wry smile.
Karen Mok performs at Shanghai Dolly tomorrow at 5pm. For tickets, visit Gramophone or Music Junction outlets.
