Hong Kong - She sped home to see their young daughter hours after they got a divorce, while he went for two karaoke nights in a row, before flying back to Beijing with a smile.

Pop queen Faye Wong, 44, and actor-turned-businessman Li Yapeng, 41, have offered a study in contrasts since they formalised their split in his hometown Urumqi in Xinjiang last Friday, said reports.

She has not been seen in public since that night, when she was photographed returning to the former couple's home at Green Park Villas in Beijing.

Ming Pao Daily News said she went there to see their seven-year-old, Yan, and after the girl fell asleep, Wong retreated to a friend's home, where she neither listens to rumours about her ex nor speaks of him. She just said he had nothing to do with her, the newspaper reported.

According to sources cited by Apple Daily, she gets up at 7am every day to chant sutras and sleeps at 10pm.

Ming Pao said she agreed to let their daughter live with Li because his mother is the main carer on weekdays and Wong did not want to disrupt her child's life too drastically.
