Marithé and Francois Girbaud invaded the enormous Halle Freyssinet, where they showed a collection of…bicycles!

The French couple love to put on a show and enjoy making their audience react with powerful images. This season they worked on a silhouette based around cropped trousers.

Over the last 40 years denim has featured heavily in their vocabulary and for next winter they have glammed it up- taking raw fabric which they printed and cut with lasers out of which they tailored sophisticated suits.

Another obsession of theirs is the cape, which was omnipresent and wrapped around the models’ heads, in the style of a veil or a nun’s habit.
