Fashion from a different perspective
by Paris Modes

The Marni show seemed to come from another dimension: it defied trends and was the perfect mixture of elegance and discretion- just like the brand’s artistic director Consuelo Castiglioni.

Even though the fashion show took place early on Sunday morning, the last day of Milan fashion week, the hall was jam-packed with people excited to see the latest collection.

It has to be said that Marni allows us to see fashion from a different perspective, with graphic prints and pictures painted by artist Gay Hume, jackets with unusual volumes giving the impression of ‘false’ hips and collarless coats balanced at the back.

Cropped trousers took centre stage and were teamed with socks; the bejewelled necklaces were made by hand, while the long leather gloves were embellished with ribbons.Even the colours, like mustard, chocolate and orange seemed to be from another world.
