Maria Grazia Chuiri and Pier Paolo Piccioli took over the position as Artistic Director in 2008 after having worked with the designer for 10 years.    

It was all about their personal memories with him, which they set out to evoke through a new Valentino woman, moving towards new horizons.    

Based around black and beige or “nude”, the collection consisted of mini dresses, layered with lace and tulle as well as flesh coloured court shoes with black frills on the back.    

Eveningwear was by no means forgotten, with the duo unveiling long dresses with relief effects. The new allure was soft and light – exactly what we like!
