There were sensual shapes aplenty at the recently concluded Triumph Inspiration Award National Final at City Square Mall, but it was a piece that was inspired by a dead mummy which caught the judging panel's attention.
Creative lingerie being the items in question here, judges sought to find the piece that best suited the criteria stated for entry - an innovative silhouette.
Miss Grace Eliano Sugiarto, 22, won for her entry based on an ancient queen, Pharoah Harshepsu, the first queen of Egypt. Her piece, "Preserved Beauty" used nude linen stockings to recreate mummy bandages, since she was inspired by the mummification technique of wrapping a body in bandages. Her one-piece suit, complete with hanging 'bandages', caught the judges' eyes.
For her effort, she wins $2,000 in cash and a chance to represent Singapore in the International Final of the Triumph Inspiration Final 2010.
