Gigi Leung is the third Hong Kong celebrity to be married as we barely settle in to October, hot on the heels of Karen Mok and Sonija Kwok, who both walked down the aisle over the weekend.
The 35-year-old singer-actress married her 36-year-old Spanish beau Sergio in Ibiza, Spain on Monday.
The low-key wedding was attended by the couple's parents, relatives and close friends.
Leung only invited her mother, her twin brother, and a few close relatives. Three of her closest friends from showbiz, Valen Hsu, Charlie Yeung and Angelica Lee, were also there to attend her wedding. Hsu and Lee were her maids-of-honour.
Sergio, who works in Barcelona's food and beverage industry, proposed to Leung after having dated her for about half a year.
The couple will settle down in Barcelona because Sergio is unable to relocate due to his job.
Leung has also revealed that she will consider leaving showbiz to be a full-time home maker if she becomes pregnant.
Leung broke the news of her wedding on her microblog on Saturday.
The couple met at a mutual friend's party in Barcelona earlier this year in February, but only started dating in April.
Sergio popped the question in June while Leung was in Barcelona, but was turned down initially as Leung had wanted to consult her mother before making such a big decision.
He persisted and proposed again a month later, and finally got Leung to agree to marry him.
Leung was previously romantically linked to Hong Kong singer Ekin Cheng and a furniture designer named Sly.
