There's no doubt about it. Chinese actresses are on the rise.

Not just content with taking over movie screens in the Chinese-language speaking world, stars like Li Bingbing and Fan Binging have also crossed over into Hollywood.

They are also regular fixtures on the red carpet circuit around the globe.

Li Bingbing is set to appear in Transformers 4, while Fan Bingbing will appear in the latest X-Men movie. Fan also had a minor role in the Chinese version of Iron Man 3.

Up-and-coming starlets like Yang Mi and Gao Yuanyuan are also among the faces to watch in 2014.
