17 nude photos of Angelina Zhang have been circulating on the internet.

The Chinese actress has admitted to taking the photos, reports Ettoday and Oriental Daily.

Angelina said, "That's right, it's me. That was taken in 2009 by a renowned Hong Kong photographer friend. I have nothing to hide. These are all artistic photos."

While some wondered if the nude photos were a publicity stunt, she angrily denied the accusation. Angelina said she had been signed on to many shows and would not risk her clients' interests.

Angelina suspected it was her ex-manager Peter who had leaked the photos which were passed to him two years ago. He has dismissed the allegation.

Angelina made a police report accompanied by her husband Mark Wu.

Angelina's husband said he knows her past and will support her.

An emotional Angelina said, "The person who released the photos is a beast and should be punished. That's why, we decided to seek help from the police."

"I did not name the person, but I believe the police will be able to seek justice for me."

Meanwhile, Peter has sought legal action against Angelina for defamation, and is asking for HK$500,000 compensation.
