Tony Leung, Zhang Ziyi and Song Hye Kyo were in Korea recently to promote the martial arts flick, The Grandmaster, which was the opening film of the 5th China Film Festival on June 16.

On the red carpet, director Wong Kar Wai sang the praises of Hye-kyo, going as far as to call her the 'prettiest female actress in Asia'.

According to a report on Mingpao, Wong said that she had a 'perfect' face, and that he regretted not being able to give her a bigger role in the movie.

A few days ago, Hye Kyo was spotted inside a Gangnam salon two hours before the opening ceremony of the film festival.

According to her designer and hair stylist, the actress repeatedly asked for her clothing, fashion accessories and hairstyle selections to be kept simple, to allow her co-stars to shine.

Despite being excited to finally grace a red carpet with her co-stars, she insisted that the stars of the event should be them because she was attending the China Film Festival.
