The text messages between Shawn Chien's dead wife, Alisya Yeh, and the former Taiwanese artiste's lover was revealed one week after the former's death.
According to an article in Groove Asia, in the text message exchange, the third party, identified only by her surname Xu, appeared unrepentant after Yeh found out about the extramarital affair.
Xu told her, "I know you won't divorce (Shawn), but we will not break up too." It was said that Xu had sent many similar text messages to provoke Yeh several times and Shawn had taken Xu's side instead of his wife's.
Disheartened by her husband, Yeh committed suicide by jumping off a building in Macau on May 30.
One day before her suicide, Yeh posted a video of a woman experiencing labour pain during childbirth on her Facebook and left a last note that hinted at her disappointment in her husband.
Chien did not show up at the funeral the week after, which marked the seventh day of Yeh's death.
His former manager Andy revealed that the ex-member of Choc 7 feels extremely guilty about his wife's death.
According to media reports, the couple had a shotgun marriage last year, and their baby girl was born soon after.
The family settled in Macau, where Chien was working in Sands Macau Hotel as a public relations officer.
