SINGAPORE - Celebrity 'it' couple of the moment Joanne Peh and Qi Yuwu stepped out together at the Star Awards on Sunday evening, marking their first public appearance together since confirming their romance earlier this month.

Viewers looking for public displays of affection between the two would be disappointed.

The only physical show of affection was when Peh casually held on to Qi's arm for a moment when all the stars were assembled on stage.

The mood for the first instalment of the annual awards show was notably sombre as the stars paid tribute to actor Huang Wenyong, who died from lymphoma cancer over the weekend on Saturday.
