Woman gets $40k facelift, proposes to 13th boyfriend

After a dozen failed relationships and love affairs, a 34-year-old single lady in Taiwan put her hands up and caved in - she spent almost a million Taiwanese dollars (over S$40,000) for plastic surgery to "fix" her face and her body.

She got a nose job, an eyelift, her chin done, Botox injected into her forehead, and liposuction to lose almost 10kg-she now weighs in at 66kg.

Lo and behold, her makeover proved to be her good luck charm as her 13th boyfriend turned out to be Mr Right.

Having found her man, she wasted no time in putting a ring on it, proposing to him in public at a theme park.

The couple befriended each other through an online gaming website and began dating last year in April. It wasn't long after their email correspondence began that she admitted she had fallen for him.

Three months later, they were living together. "I know he's the one," said "Mao Bai", using her online nickname, and confessing that their burgeoning romance gave her the confidence to alter her appearance.

Following her surgery, she set the stage to pop the big question to her 29-year-old lover, known by his nickname "Zha Ke", at the Eda Theme Park in Kaohsiung city.

Dressed as the succubus character from World Of Warcraft, the cyber game that they're both addicted to, Mao Bai descended into the park on a swing from the top of a huge wooden statue of a horse.

She then gave Zha Ke a bouquet of roses and an engagement ring made with her hair. Stunned by her performance, he was gobsmacked for a few seconds before blurting out "I do!" and then he dropped to his knees and said, "Thank you for marrying me!"

The happy couple plan to tie the knot in August 2013.

Someone feel that it is a declining country where:

1) the regulations will force the people to move oversea.
2) the life there is very stressful
3) all sort of taxes
4) the currency will keep getting stronger while US$ getting weaker which make them difficult to compete.
5) their culture is closed
6) the radiation is spreading with the six reactors and not much news about it, the people will have to depend on themselves to solve
7) their debt is super huge and they also have to pay to clean up the mess that reached US shore

The recently incident had hurt them financially. The outcome is not what they expect. Automotive is their main sector. This will result in their shift to South East Asia.

There are many different views

From girls who're trying to look like plastic dolls (anima and manga characters) to a man who cooked his genitals and served them up to diners at a Japanese restaurant (Mao Sugiyama) and now this bagel-heads trend; should we even be surprised a nation producing this bizarre pop culture is also the same nation who's trying to steal someone else's islands?

Trust the Japs to do the right thing! LOL
