Peekaboo dresses raise eyebrows at awards show

SINGAPORE - Stars sizzled on the red carpet at the Star Awards Show 2 held Sunday evening at the Marina Bay Sands.

Gone were the irreverent outfits and colourful hairstyles which marked previous awards ceremonies; glamour is back in style.

Constance Song, in particular, stood out in her bold peekaboo Jiki dress held together by a sheer panel running down the front and back.

Her modesty was protected only by a crystal-embellished mesh fabric which ran from the belly-button downwards.

But Song was hardly worried about the dangers of her risque choice as she told The New Paper, "I wasn't worried that I would reveal too much because when I move, the dress doesn't move at all."

Joanne Peh, who won Best Actress for her role in A Tale of 2 Cities that night, also titillated, revealing her gams in an electric-purple Bottega Venata number with a plunging neckline.

She later changed into a shiny silver dress, which was criticised for being too revealing.

Other stars like Michelle Chia opted for a black lacy number by Shanghai-based Frenchman Yannick Machedo.

She revealed that there's no inner lining for the dress, only extra lace that covered the strategic spots.

Being sexy does not warrant show of flesh bcoz wrong signals will be passed. To men who oogle - but can't get - may resort to various means to satisfy themselves. That's SCARY!!

Poor Belinda, she probably got the chest opening cut at the last minutes by her RenoAid contractor. Looks like a typical Homeowner and Renovation Contractor miscommunication. But the weirdest, and I believe many would agree with me, has to be the Lee couple. They dressed like going to a Cosplay. Don't they have enough fantasy sex back at home?

Chen LiPing probably graced the event with that dress better than many other slimmer contemporary and so did her hubby. Everyone must be happy that Buaya get an award. His velvet suit is so shinning. I bet his wife brought the toothbrush along to the event. As for Vivian Lai, I don't get it, aren't she supposed to flash rather than camouflage herself? XiangYun erred just as bad as Joanne by having that long slit and attempted to pose like AJ. No one can beat Angelina Jolie's legs and you did that kind of pose, be prepared to get that kind of slime. Ng Hui made that mistake too but her cool and sharp hairstyle completes and fits to ninth that gown, probably the best chest slit that night. Poor Belinda, she probably got the chest opening cut at the last minutes by her RenoAid contractor. Looks like a typical .....

Constance Song and Joanne Peh should just strip la. Strip and walk naked around and they will have all the eyes on them. If they're so desperate for attention and buzz, nothing will beat stripping and walking in the buff. :D:D
