Social status, claimed a recent study by psychology professor Dr Norman Li.
Intelligence, said Dr Lee Wei Ling, director of the National Neuroscience Institute, who ran a straw poll in response to his research.
Her World asked 148 women who their dream guy was, quizzing them on everything from his looks to spending power, and guess what - good cooks and geeks scored.

Ex-wife leave good.... find one younger, sexier, gentler and better (virgin) wife lah.... so many available ladies all over Singapore, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Philiphines, Burma etc etc (lost count).... :p

forget your ex-wife, she is not worth it if it is money that she is interesting in. on the other hand, you have yourself to blame too as you did not select the kind of spouse properly earlier. anyway, what past is past, move on. i agree with that old fart, smickno, on this matter. it is a blessing in disguise for you. 塞翁失马,焉知非福.
My wife did not marry me for my money. She married me for something which money cannot buy, and that something about me does not depreciate with time. And since money cannot buy what I have, therefore, other men who have money just could not buy what I have.:D
From what little you told me, your ex-wife left you 'because' you earn almost a thousand bucks more than the medium salary of Singaporeans? And she married again with a property agent who earns more? :confused:
S$3500/month is not by any measure a big fat salary, but in the hands of a good homemaker (assuming your ex-wife did not work), it is still possible to live reasonably well. Not super luxuriously but you can live, and still have your abalone for the Lunar New Year.

This is because you often read about how women still stick to their men like super glue even after being physically abused & vulgarised!
Also, women tends to like men who slap & belittle & treat them rough rather than the type who wants to care for them.
These are my observations only, no offence intended.
You are lucky Smickno, at your age and your income, your wife is still faithful to you. My ex-wife leaves me bcos I only earn 5x more than you. She married with property agents who probably earns 10x times than me. :(
Only two types. Lazy or hardworking. Hardworking, everything still got chance. Lazy, all finished ......
