TAIWANESE actress Barbie Hsu had prevented media from covering her wedding with Chinese tycoon Wang Xiao Fei on Tuesday , but photos from the lavish wedding ceremony still made their rounds online after friends shared them on the Internet.

The wedding had apparently cost $1.3 million.

 

Held in Hainan, China, at Conrad Sanya Hotel's outdoor garden, the wedding was an invite-only event that saw the likes of Taiwanese celebrities A-Ya, Pace Wu and A-mei in attendance. The 200 guests there were reportedly not allowed to take photos.

 

Hsu had a total of three outfits for the event, and her niece - sister Dee Hsu's daughter - was the flower girl. Guests received door gifts comprising anti-alcoholic drugs and slimming products.

 

As the couple had only known each other for 165 days before getting married, speculations were rife about whether Hsu was seeking financial stability in Wang or if the matrimony was a shotgun wedding.
