Gloria Vanderbilt is one of New York society circle's most recognisable names.

Born into the wealthy Vanderbilt family, she has made headlines since the day she was born.

Last month, Ralph Lauren hosted an elegant evening of cocktails in her honour at the fashion house's new Women’s Store at 888 Madison Avenue to celebrate the publication of The World of Gloria Vanderbilt, a book authored by Wendy Goodman, with a foreword by her son and CNN reporter, Anderson Cooper.
 
Amongst the celebrity guests in attendance were Sarah Jessica Parker, Uma Thurman, Kathy Griffin, Aerin, Lauder Marisa Berenson, Camilla Belle & Lee Radziwill.
