A wedding worth waiting for

It was a wedding worth waiting for as newspaper columnist and editor Sumiko Tan married her junior-college crush Quek Suan Shiau.

wow.. That is really great. I have always wonder what will she be writing when she gets married. Her article is always direct and honest.. Expressing her true inner thoughts. Enjoy reading her past articles as it is hard to find another person who is willing to express himself/herself so freely and openly to the public.. All the best to you, Sumiko. Though as a fellow married personnel, my words of advice is your journey has just started.. to make it till the end depends on both of you and lots of hardwork and patience is required..

Whether it is worth waiting for or not, only time will tell. Don't be too quick to make such pronouncement.

In the meantime, congrats & best wishes !!

"........newspaper columnist and editor Sumiko Tan married her...."

Nobody knows why her better half and herself couldn't make it in their youth to marry except for both of them but then, it is better to wait and realise later that they are both still in love than to marry young, be unhappy, get a divorce and be disillusioned by it.

Her writings are always about her experiences, feelings and expressions. Plain and honest. So, how far can one go to talk about "essence and meaning" when there is only truth in what a person has experienced so far if opportunity doesn't so many times or at the right time. It takes two hands to clap, so, even if you meet your Mr Right and want to settle down but he's not willing to do so, there is nothing you can do but to move on.

Relationships can be puzzling or easy .....
