A new book on diet authored by Jung Da-yeon, better known as “momjjang ajumma” (mom with a striking figure) in Korea, is creating a splash in Japan.
Her second book, “Momjjang Diet Premium,” sold 200,000 copies in two weeks after publication in Japan on June 11. The diet book by the 44-year-old housewife now tops the bestseller list of Amazon Japan, Yonhap News Agency reported.
Her first diet book “Momjjang Diet,” published in 2007, reclaimed the No. 2 spot on the back of the popularity of her second book. In that year, she topped the bestseller list with her first book, the first time a Korean writer has done so.
Jung held a book signing promotion for her second book in LIBRO, a book store at Seibu Department Store in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, on Sunday. She met with about 100 of her readers during the event.
“I tried to put in the second book my know-how and tips that I have accumulated over the past seven years,” Jung told reporters. “At the news of my book topping the Amazon list for a week, I took pride in being a Korean.”
Should promote her book and lifestyle in Singapore. Too many women here are wasting their money and risking their health in slimming centres.
