Hong Kong singer Sammi Cheng has come out to deny reports that she and ex-boyfriend Andy Hui are back together.

Her comments to Metro Radio came after Eastweek magazine reported that Andy had abandoned his girlfriend of three years, model Michelle Yu and returned to Cheng, asking her to marry him.

Hong Kong media reported her as saying: 'Don't say I'm scowling or smiling sweetly,' she said. 'I'm just expressionless. I'm answering seriously. We are not back together. There are no plans. There is no possibility at this stage.'

She also blasted the report and said most of it was not based on facts, and that the only factual part was that they had taken a business trip together.

Cheng said she did not want to be in a 'complicated relationship'.


They are just friends for now, she added. 'The whole Hong Kong knows we're close and it's deep. We cherish our relationship now.'
