What the Miss Singapore Universe hopefuls said

Contestant 7: Annabel Tan

Q: What are the benefits of being a woman?

A: More importantly being a woman gives us the great privilege to be a mother and honestly, you girls know we are what men can't live without.

Contestant 8: Jill Chew

Q: Should women have equal rights?

A: I feel that woman should have equal rights because there are a lot of woman presidents, working for governments ... women can actually do a lot of things so What men can do woman can do also. So I believe that we all should have equal rights.

Contestant 9: Quek Zi Yi

Q: Which charitable organization deserves your help?

A: (Long Wait) I feel that Red Cross deserves my support the most because they help victims that are really in need during natural disasters, especially those from the less fortunate countries.

Contestant 10: Raine Ng

Q: What would you do to become a good role model for others and why?

A: First of all I should watch my actions and be more responsible. [At] the same time I will try to do my best to promote charitable causes [by doing] small things such as helping out or volunteering in a nursing home.

Contestant 11: Tania Lim

Q: Would you date someone who is much younger or much older than yourself?

A: Well I think age is just a number and I believe respect and chemistry is much more important in a relationship to make it blossom and if you have that, age is not a problem at all.

It's better to look pretty in person than on photos, and appreciated in the flesh, than the other way round.

Never knew most of the contestants are so pretty as compared to the photos posted. Kudos to the Judges!

First of all if a goggle search was done on the questions posed to the contestant during Miss Universe, I believe NON of our Singapore beauties will be able to give an answer that you can "feel" that it is SPONTANEOUS. :-)

Aiyo, of course they have to put on make-ups. You don't want to look like our aunties right? Come to think of it, I wonder if it would be a good idea to hold a contest for Miss Universe without make-ups.

By the way, I belief charity starts at home. If you manage it well at home then a person can consider doing it outside. Some people are genuine with their help in charities but there may be others doing it just to make a name for themselves.
