THE Consumers Association of Singapore (Case) and two industry associations are taking steps to accredit spas here in the wake of recent closures that left thousands of customers stranded.

Case launched its new CaseTrust Spa and Wellness Accreditation Scheme on Wednesday.

To be accredited, spas will have to pass stringent checks including having transparent pricing and good complaint resolution procedures in place.
