New in town is accessories haven - Mimco.

The Australian brand made its debut in Asia recently with the opening of its flagship boutique at ION Orchard.

As Mimco started off as a quirky handbag retailer in 1996, its focus and strength was - and still is till today - its individual design and trendy shapes. So you can expect Aussie-styled statement pieces.

Present at the grand opening was Cathryn Wills, the Creative Director of Mimco, who introduced the brand as "luxury designed with a touch of quirk".

The interior design of its boutique is a hint of the brand's quirky nature. Step into Mimco, and you'll be warmly greeted with a beauty bar of jewellery and accessories. Featured in the middle of the store is a set of vintage armchair and lamp, refurbished with velvet cushion, gloss and black paint to give a modern feel. 

In store this season is the collection, Evolution Utopia - a theme that's apocalyptic and looks to the future. So think animalistic and tribal, but with a feminine touch.

From designer clutches, sassy sling bags and pretty purses to fancy blings and ornate hair accessories, the store is so well stocked with goodies of different models and colours, you won't have to dig too hard to find treasures.
