Amber Chia still mum about husband's identity

PETALING JAYA, Malaysia- Supermodel Amber Chia is still keeping mum on the identity of her husband.

Even her pre-wedding photographs, released to the media yesterday, were composed to not reveal his identity.

Chia, 28, also tweeted yesterday that she was now married to her boyfriend of one-and-a-half years.

"Thank you all for your kind wishes and support," she said in her Facebook page.

Meanwhile, a statement released by her publicity company, Orchan Consulting Asia, said the couple's exclusive wedding ceremony was held at the Diwangkara Holiday Villa Resort in Bali, Indonesia on Thursday.

Chia, in the statement said she and her husband were looking forward to settling down in life and that motherhood was in the book for her.

"We have discussed the future, and definitely want to start a family together," said Chia, adding she would love to be a mother before she was 30.

Earlier, she was apologetic for not wanting to reveal her husband's identity because of his "shy nature."

It is believed that "Mr Amber Chia" is a Malaysian with businesses in Australia and Hong Kong.

The wedding ceremony was attended by 40 friends and members of both families.

Celebrities like TV host Daphne Iking, violinist Dennis Lau and catwalk guru Benjamin Toong were present, too.

The wedding was in the planning for five months, and a total of seven wedding dresses were specifically designed for Chia by two of Malaysia's top designers, Keith Kee and Alvin Tay.

The newlyweds are currently honeymooning at an undisclosed destination.
