This is hot off the press - Malaysian supermodel Amber Chia has secretly gotten married on the exotic resort island of Bali last week.
The Daily Chilli has learned from her confidante that the 28-year-old hot lass has said "I do" to her long-time friend-turned-boyfriend.
No, he is not the married businessman that she was once maliciously accused of dating. Or the old banker Tan Sri that she was rumoured to be seeing.
"Amber believes in true love," said the source. "She doesn't believe that money can buy her love. This guy - who is just a regular businessman is genuinely nice and he really loves her for who she is.
"They've known each other for a long, long time. He's a very shy guy."
Their top secret union was solemnised in Bali last Thursday.
"It was a romantic beach wedding," revealed the insider, who spoke to The Daily Chilli under the condition of anonymity.
Among Amber's most trusted celebrity friends who flew in to Bali to witness the super private wedding were TV personality Daphne Iking, violinist Dennis Lau and catwalk guru, Benjamin Toong.
The East-meet-West ceremony was also witnessed by close family members from both sides, who were flown to the mystical Indonesian island on an all-expenses paid trip by the generous couple.
It is believed that Amber's top designer friends, Alvin Tay and Keith Kee, had specially designed her angelic white and sweet pink wedding gowns.
When contacted via SMS, a discreet Amber, who is back in Malaysia and will fly overseas for her honeymoon in an undisclosed location soon, has only got this to offer, "Sorry dear..Don't worry..we'll talk when I come back from my honeymoon."
Her team of publicists from Orchan Consulting Asia, who also declined to comment, are expected to issue a press statement soon.
Meanwhile, Star Metro reporter, Choong Mek Zhin got hold of Amber at the launch of Bread Basket at The Sphere in Bangsar South this evening. The newly wed had declined to reveal the name of her husband out of respect for him. "He wants to keep a low profile. But he's helping his dad with his business."
The couple met six or seven years ago. But remained friends. "I can't remember when our friendship turned into love. But we've decided to get married during my Ford Supermodel competition. We're very much in love and we're happy together."
Amber however, denied that she's pregnant. But said she would like to be a mum by 30.
Known to be a workaholic, the supermodel assured fans that she wouldn't be working on her honeymoon at all. But when she returns, she'll get busy with her a new reality show on her life, titled Amber's Diary, where her shy husband might make an appearance.
Who the hell cares if you know her???
