NEWS of Taiwanese singer Harlem Yu's marital problems with Annie Shizuka Inoh continues to receive widespread coverage in the major Chinese dailies.

Nanyang Siang Pau quoted Annie's friends as saying that she purposely lost weight to get the attention of Taiwanese actor Huang Wei De, her purported lover.

Her friends said Annie had lost 4kg, bringing her weight down to 40kg.

The daily reported that since pictures of her and Huang holding hands emerged, she had been avoiding the media and concentrating on filming.

Yu, who has been keeping mum, meanwhile, got something positive out of the controversy: his shows have been receiving high ratings lately.

Yu’s close friends have asked the public to give him time and space to sort things out with Annie.
