You've always wanted to have the deep blue eyes of Nicole Kidman and Cameron Diaz or the charming green eyes of Mischa Burton and Drew Barrymore, but as an Asian chic, you're never bold enough to use coloured contact lenses for fear you might draw unwanted stares or look freaky.
Cosmetic lens brand, FreshKon, recently launched a new range of coloured lens, Mosaic, as part of its beauty campaign "Just One Look" to celebrate International Women's Day.
The new range, which is designed to look natural with its patented Pointilla pattern, comes in four attractive colours - Velvet Blue, Urban Grey, Luscious Green and Charming Brown - to complement the Asian face.
While the Mosiac lens is pretty with a star-shaped center, it promises excellent vision and comfort. Even those with perfect eyesight can also utilise them to enhance the eye colour as it also comes in non-powered lenses.
Through "Just One Look" campaign, Freshkon also hopes to encourage women in Singapore to lead their lives beautifully and passionately. The contact lens expert firmly believes that this can be achieved through the usage of its range of coloured lenses as beauty can be enhanced through it.

In the lead up to International Women's Day on March 8, 2010, FreshKon is calling for women who have inspiring lifes to share their stories by participating in ‘My Beautiful Mosaic Life' contest in which they will have to submit a short essay illustrating their meaningful lifestyles and passions.
In conjunction with Sephora, up to 40 specially chosen participants will then be invited to attend the FreshKon Mosaic Beauty Workshop at Sephora where beauty experts will show participants how to create new and exciting looks when different coloured lenses are used.
Participants will also get to learn how to select the most suitable cosmetic contact lens for one’s personality and lifestyle, good lens care and eye hygiene, match make-up with cosmetic contact lens, achieve chic styles with Mosaic's natural colours range and familiarise with eye make-up tools for eye enhancing and apply eye make-up techniques for daily use and special occasions.
At the launch of the Mosaic range, Diva had a sneak preview of some of the lessons covered at the workshop as Sephora's make-up artistes shared tips on how to choose the right lens colour for your skin tone. There was also a life demonstration on how to accentuate one's eyes with coloured lens and the help of some make-up.
TIPS & TRICKS
- With the help of a model who wore Urban Grey lenses, the make-up artist used pink eyeshadow to highlight the subtlety of the ash shade. For those who are going out in the day, light makeup will suffice for an au natural look.
- Going from day to night, all that's required is some application of eyeliner and mascara. If you are doing some partying, you might want to up the glam factor by applying some shimmery eyeshadow on the entire eyelid. Underline of your lower lids with a black eye pencil to complete the look.
- For the office, the make-up artist recommended Urban Grey as its not striking yet provide sufficient colour.
- On choosing suitable coloured lenses that matched your skin, he suggested that Charming Brown is best for Asians as the hue compliments the yellow undertone or slightly tanned skin.
- Last of all, his advice for all is to be bold and try contrasting colours.
