Mark Teo and his Australian wife, Ellen Philpott, fell in love as university students over daily love letters, except that they were sent via e-mail.

When cupid strikes: Dr Bernard Cheong, 52, and Dolly Ong, 49

Dr Cheong is a partner of Lifeline Medical Group while his wife is the company's financial controller. They have been married for 23 years and have two daughters aged 20 and 18.

When cupid strikes: Soo Kui Jien, 37, and Sarah Tan, 29

It was not love at first, but third sight for Sarah and she made the first move. The two TV presenters married in 2008 and now have a 2-year-old child.

When cupid strikes: Jessica Tan, 43, and Alphonsus Pang, 47

Ms Tan is a MP for East Coast GRC. She has been married to Pang, a public servant, for almost 20 years and the couple have three teenage children.
