Are there lightweight moisturisers that would not make my skin feel clogged?
by Hong Xinyi

Q: I don't like wearing moisturiser because it makes my skin feel clogged but I know I should start doing so to keep my skin in good condition. What lightweight moisturisers would you recommend?

A: You are in luck because many major brands have been pumping money into developing lightweight moisturisers, many of which are created with the humid climate in parts of Asia in mind.

You may want to consider Shu Uemura's Depsea Hydrability range, which is an update of the Japanese brand's popular Depsea range. The moisturisers ($98) in this range come in a cream and a lighter gel cream textures. The latter may be exactly what you are looking for.

Clarins' newly launched Multi-Active Day Early Wrinkle Correction ($105) and Multi-Active Night Youth Recovery moisturisers ($110) also have a lighter cream gel version meant for normal to combination skin.

Neutrogena, available at all major personal care stores, has also launched a new Hydro Boost range which time-releases moisture into the skin for all-day hydration. The moisturiser in this range, Hydro Boost Water Gel ($20.90, above), is as lightweight as its name suggests.
