For chapped lips

Vichy's Aqualia thermal lips soothing and repairing balm has an ultra-protective formula which counters dryness and soothes tightness. It has a greasy texture which soothes chapped lips.

Four ingredients - glycerine, shea butter, Asiatic acid and Vitamin E - repair, nourish, hydrate and protect damaged lips. The 4.7ml stick, which costs $18, will be available at pharmacies and convenience stores from next month.

Cool muscle relief

The Panaflex pain relief patch from the maker of Panadol has a unique hydrogel base which immediately cools to relieve muscle and joint pain. It also has medicinal properties which work directly on the area to soothe tired or sore muscles.

Ingredients in the patch include menthol, which has pain-relieving and cooling qualities, and camphor, which acts like a slight local anaesthetic.

It is easy to apply and remove, is stretchable, gentle on the skin, has a minty fragrance and long-lasting effect. You can use it on your neck, shoulder, back, elbow and knee. It is available at supermarkets, pharmacies and convenient stores at $2.95 for a box of two patches.

Spring clean

La Roche-Posay Physiological eye make-up remover is perfect for wearers of contact lenses and people with sensitive eyes. It is non-greasy and will not cause irritation.

There is also a gentle cleansing milk for very dry and sensitive skin, a cleansing gel for normal to combination skin, a soothing toner and Micellar solution, a cleansing water for face, eyes and lips.

All products cost $29.90 per 200ml, except for the eye make-up remover which is 125ml. They are available at Guardian, Watsons and Unity pharmacies, the National Skin Centre and other hospital pharmacies.
