To kick off spring/summer 2010, Loewe has a new range of Napa bags in vibrant hues such as orange, magenta and turquoise.

The Spanish leather house uses its signature lightweight Napa leather (lambskin from northern Spain) to craft the Cielo tote bag (above, $1,590).

It weighs only 236g, compared to bags of a similar size by other fashion houses that can weigh up to 1.2kg.

Prices range from $240 for a bag tassel to $2,990 for a shoulder bag.

Loewe will hold a Napa exhibition from Jan 22 to 31 at Level 2 Takashimaya Shopping Centre (next to Kimrobinson Hair Studio) to showcase the house’s signature material.

The free exhibition, open from 11am to 8pm on weekdays and 11am to 9pm on weekends, also gives bagaholics a chance to win a Napa hobo bag worth $2,590.
